Muscular System
Snakes are different from many other vertabrates because there body is so long and thin. This makes the organs look more squished than other animals. Rattlesnakes have two kinds of locomotion: lateral progression and sidewinding. Lateral progression is the typical 'slithering' motion most people assosiate with snakes. The sidewinding is when the snake throws itself in a looping motion, which works very well in sandy and desert enviroments.
